"Delay" Isn't a Marketing Term.

Part 9 of the Lenovo Enhanced Experience Video interview in which Matt Kohut and John Mese talk how our use of the term "delaying" the startup of Windows services isn't a marketing term -- it really provides customer benefits.

Re: "Delay" Isn't a Marketing Term.

I really dislike your little utube clips.... i listened to one and realised not a lot is being said..... Just note the salient points in writing will be fine...i won't listen/watch another.

Oh and can you stop referencing the Windows 7 BETA drivers.... you really ought to have Windows 7 drivers in all the right places for all your machines by now. I'm gobsmacked that if i go to the main download page for my kit Win7 drivers aren't mentioned.... I just downloaded the System Upgrade app and let it lt look for what it needed...surprisingly it only found 4 things to upgrade - I had hoped it would replace just about every Win 7 driver I had...

Sorry I ramble on..suspect this should be posted somewhere else.. feel free to move....

Re: "Delay" Isn't a Marketing Term.

Gkinghrn,

Thanks for the feedback.  It's sometimes tough to hear that not every idea, or the execution of it lands well with all, but we need to hear candid feedback so we can improve.

We decided to try something with the videos as a way to be a bit more engaging and put a face on the discussion.   We have much of the information available for general reading on our Windows 7 site here.

Mark

Re: "Delay" Isn't a Marketing Term.

Thanks Mark... I may have appeared over critical last night whcih i didn't mean to be.  I just found listening to a techie talking to another techie wasn't great experience.

When i first looked at one of the clips my expectation was someone would 'show' us something not just 2 guys at a desk and hence my disappointment.

The clips WOULD be useful if they showed/demonstrated what is being talked about - we don't need to see the techies (please keep them in the dark lairs they inhabit and working on new stuff lol ) perhaps thats worth considering here. I'd be interetsed in that. SHow and Tell ..not just tell ...
