Has anyone gotten tap to work (successfully launch an application) in Windows 8 on the Lenovo Thinkpad T410s?
I'm having trouble getting my Lenovo Thinkpad T410s to react to touch correctly in Windows 8. Touch works, in general for swiping and panning, but tapping on tiles or charms yields no result. The visual indication that a tap has been received occurs (water ripple effect), but the OS does not launch the command associated with the tap.
Changing pen / tablet settings in control panel seems to have no affect on the machine's behavior, but I could have missed something.
I realize this is a preview release, but was curious to see if anyone came up with a solution.

I just installed Windows 8 Consumer Preview 64-bit on a T410s and I get the exact same result.
There is obviously some problem with the driver for the touch screen, but when I installed the W7 64-bit n-trig duo sense driver it stopped working all together. Device Manager says that the driver does not work properly. Every other driver seems to work except the one for the touch screen.
Has anyone gotten the touch screen of a T410s to work properly in Windows 8?

Same exact problem on T410s 2901. After the driver install, the device stops working all together with a "Code 43 Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems". Uninstalled/reinstalled to no avail.

Same issue here as well :-)
Well, seems we need to wait a bit till we get the correct drivers cause the one posted is not working at all, it kills touch completely (under mouse and Keyboard here):

Updated drivers can now be downloaded from n-trig.com. Direct links below:

I can verify that it now works much more as expected. It is still quite difficult to do the edge swipes that brings up the charms etc, but that is probably because of the physical design of the screen.
