I will have to wait for MS to release the beta or retail version of Windows 8 to see if it's worth my money.
At the moment, I think I am gonna stick with Windows 7 until a better release comes out.
I hope Windows 8 doesn't become a failure like Windows Vista did in the past.

beta drivers
Fortunately, it seems that several Lenovo machines (including both the x201t and x220t Tablet PCs) are on the list of Windows 8 development hardware. While this doesn't guarantee support for these models, it's a good sign:

Been testing Win8, x64 on my T61 (7665-CTO) and x86 X60s (1703-CTO), and I'm very satisfied with the performance and functionality of the OS. Specially liking the new ribbon and interface in Windows Explorer and Task Manager, the sync-feature and storage spaces, which is bringing near ZFS functionality to the average user. The MetroUI is not bothering me anymore, but it is frankly quite useless for a standard notebook although some live tiles are Kool and the Gang, but I hope that it will be optional during install of the final versions.
Driver installation is absolutely problem free but installation of the ThinkVantage software was a bit problematic on vanilla install (T61 64bit) as some required Win7 compatibility to be enabled, but upgrading from Win7 on my X60s was smooth as silk, the TrackPoint driver got sidelined during install, but reinstalling the driver provided full functionality again. Power Manager, Access Connections, Fingerprint logon, everything works just like it should.
I'll be watching further development on Win8 with great enthusiasm.

Dear lenovo!
The older machines will have driver support? ( X200, X200 Tablet, T400, T500, W500 )

No answer sorry but I am like you wondering whether there will be driver support for Windows 8 on T500's in particular (I have 5 of them). I am now running Windows 8 release version on one as a I type, but wish to perform a bios update and see that this is not supported on Windows 8. I don't really wish to uninstall, install an older OS just to be able to update the bios but. Any comments Lenovo?

You can update the BIOS from bootable media, you don't have to do it from the loaded OS.
