x61Tablet anyone installed Winndows 8 beta yet?

I've installed Windows 8 Developer Preview its a pre beta release & other folks have also from x41t to x220t & some have installed on t61 t400

Hi, you said that all of your installs works fine, which Win8 version do you used, 32bit or 64bit? Because for me the "ThinkPad Tablet Button Driver" for CP-64bit doesn't work, I loaded the "7jgl10ww" file. Have anyone else these problems?

Looks like we out of luck whith x64 win8. I also corinform - tablet bution driver do not work (no rotation, no joypad e.t.c). Looks like - it even not installing at all, all *.dll, *.sys not coping to system32. I`ve tryed 32-bit driver - do not work, also tryed beta driver for win8 from x220 - still no luck

Forgot to mention - also fingerprint scanner gone. but everything else run nice and smooth. even moded driver for wacom works (that one which enables pen pressure in PS)

Hi obaz!

Our friend GMAC-R60 retired gracefully from the community, and we miss him .

His posts were pertaining to last September's Windows 8 Developer Preview, not the current Consumer Preview. 

Hopefully other X61 Tablet users will come by and share their Consumer Preview experiences!

@obaz My fingerprint scanner works fine. I just had to use the windows auto update to find the right drivers. UPEK TouchChip Fingerprint Coprocessor (WBF advanced mode) version 1.4.0.275

No tablet buttons on my pen-only X61T (7769-A67)...I never use FPR so I wouldn't know whether it works or not...

Apart from that. the machine feels pretty snappy, even with a slow 5400rpm HDD...
