Install XP on notebook 3000 Y410 - any experience sharing

[ Edited ]
Hi all,

I'm going to install XP on notebook 3000 Y410 (give up the Vista home basic).  I had downloaded all the drivers from Lenovo support site.

Any one can share her/his experience on similar task? Do you encounter any problem and how to solve it?  Thanks.

Regards,

I've already done this three times and it becomes a basic operation from Vista to XP PRO SP3.

follow this guide...http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=188992

It is set up for T series, but the information is the same, just use the information for your laptop in the places it is specific to T series.  If something does not make sense about a driver or device, then look into your device manager and see what would be corrisponding for you.

Before you you reformat your hard drive write down on a clean sheet of paper your entire configuration and the entire listing from the Device Driver window of the name of each device and it's driver name and date, etc.  This may take half an hour but will save you hours upon hours if you copy this info correctly.

Hope this helps you some.

Blessings,
Chetanji
