Lenovo N 500 used to have Vista and after restore now has XP

I have a Lenovo N 500 and I used to have Windows Vista as my OS. It got bogged down and full of viruses so I ran a full factory restore and now I have Windows XP. I understand that my recovery disk that came with the computer was meant to restore XP, but the computer is licensed to have Vista - it has all the stickers and labels on the computer itself. How can I get my computer back to Vista? (I need this especially because my backup files are wbcat files and I can't access anything on XP). Help, please!

it sounds like your system came with vista but was down graded to xp if you know someone or you that has the same version of vista that your COA for , you could upgrade with that or call lenovo to see if you can buy a set . it sounds like your system came with vista but was down graded to xp
