I download/upgraded to the latest Fingerprint software (v3.2.0.341 from v3.2.0.116) for my T400. On reboot, I'm getting an error message "User Interface Failure: The Logon User Interface DLL 0 failed to load." with one button: "Restart"
I can't into Windows, including attempting Safe Mode and Last Known Configuration without any success.
Help.
The dll is listed as "0" ...strange, anyone know what DLL got corrputed? I can easily add the dll by connecting the HD to another computer, but need to know what dll it is. I tried replacing the four .dll's in the system32 folder (AFSSClientLib.dll, ATGinaHook.dll, FpWinlogonNp.dll, and FpCredProv.dll) but still no luck. Also tried disabling the fingerprint in the bios.
Thanks!

XP_FixLogon from www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/fix_xp_logon.htm fixes the problem.

Delete the registry value GinaDll in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
How?
1. Harddisk out and in as secondary in another machine
2 In regedit goto HKLM (root)
3 File / Load hive, point to file ?:\Windows\System32\Config\Software
Name it XSoftware
4 Open section XSoftware\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
5 Delete value GinaDll (thats it)
Clean up
6 File / Unload hive
7 Harddisk back
Good luck
