Windows Firewall Resets After Restart

Symptoms

Your OS is Windows XP Professional with all updates installed.Because you have a third-party firewall you want to disable the windows firewall. So you ticked the disable option in the Windows Firewall settings. The Firewall remains disabled as long as the machine is running.

The problem appears when you have restarted: The windows firewall is activated again.

Diagnosis

All Lenovo systems running Thinkvntage access connections 

Solution

You need to disable windows firewall from the Thinkvatage access connections too.In order to do this go to the profiles tab and select our current profie

Then select the security tab and deselect the "windows firewall" option to disable windows firewall
