hi
I used to use my pc thinkpad XP 2000 wirelessly. After I bought a new computer I stopped using it for a couple of months. When I tried to use it again, it won't work unless the cable is plugged into the modem. My cable company says it has somehow been lost and to call IBM, IBM says it's out of warranty and they won't help me. I did find out that I can go to Lenovo's site and enter MIGR-41929 in the search and can download something to get my wireless connection back, but I can't understand what I'm supposed to do (as you can see from my login name) . Can someone please walk me through the steps. Thanks so much.

Welcome to the forum!
Could you please post the 7-character model number of your ThinkPad (located on the sticker on the bottom of the laptop, should be in the form of 2647-8RU...not the characters but the form) to help us help you better.
Good luck and let us know.

The Type and Model number you have posted isn't valid, it needs to be 7 letters or numbers. This site should help you find the correct number.
