Yes, I definitely think that something should (rather MUST) be done to fix that huge issue.
Could a moderator or and admin send this info to Lenovo in order for them to fix this ? (because this problem will obviously happen to other users if nothing is done).
Thank you in advance

Cebula,
Thanks again for reporting... we are pulling down 7zbv15ww.exe and will replace temporarily with 7zbv14ww.exe while we investigate the driver package and these reports.
The support site should reflect this change shortly.
Best regards,
Mark

I'll need to check, but I think that update might also have the same effect. But I don't know if that's as a direct result of the effects that 7zbv15ww.exe has had on my laptop. I'll let you know once I finish one last backup using Microsoft's SyncToy. Need to make sure I haven't missed anything. Great free backup software...especially because it has a one-way sync option without ever deleting files in the backup...perfect for my computer's current random file state.

Edit: Can we consolidate this issue to one thread (lock all but one thread)? I see you didn't add this update to the other thread... Only problem is it occurs across multiple models, so it doesn't necessarily fit in either the X-Series or T61, etc. sections... Seems it also has affected someone using the T410...

I am having a problem with the 7zbv15ww.exe driver on my W510. Bluetooth drops the connection to my mouse and the only way to restore it is to disable bluetooth and enable it again. Sometimes it is even necessary to also turn the mouse off and on. The behavior seems to be more frequent when the bt laser mouse is either being moved fast or is at the edge of the mouse pad. This is however probably not a reason, as it seems to be the bt driver that has got issues with holding a connection, and somehow drops it for no apparent reason. I will try to temporarily downgrade to 7zbv14ww.exe, but the issue should definitely be resolved before 7zbv15ww.exe is being put back up for download.
Sincerely Kasper

I have rolled back my 15 driver and then I deleted the driver. This resulted in no bt devices being present. Then I installed 14 driver while pressing refresh in device manager and during that process all the unknown bt devices in device manager were being removed and correctly installed bt devices popped up in bt devices section and network card section. As the last unknown bt device was being removed, I looked at the installer, and it said "removing devices". It just continued to say that and the hd activity was very high. After about 30 seconds I went up one directory level from my installer path (C:\drivers\BTdriver) and a folder was missing. I then ascended one step further into the root of C:\ and then a lot of folders were missing and being deleted. I then quickly forced a shutdown using the start\shut down computer menu. And after that the machine wouldn't boot. It is currently doing a start repair/system restore (repairing missing windows files). I hope to have my system running shortly, but the problem seems not to be related to the 15 driver installer. Instead it is the installer of both the 14 and 15 driver that is deleting files on the C: drive during the last phase of "removing devices" installation process.

KZeagle et al, new version of the Bluetooth package was posted by Lenovo today:

Remember to check your backups first!
Post back here with your experience...

I too have experienced similar load errors (1935) and a rollback prior to completion of the installation with this newer 6/22 revision. X60s with Windows Ultimate 32-bit. Atlanta phone support not helpful. My BT headset pairs with my laptop, but it does not function. The headset works fine on Windows XP. This is why I tried to update my Bluetooth software, but was unsuccessful.

Yes, I tried to install this new version (6.2.1.2900) on X200 Tablet (Win 7 64 bit). No, it doesn't work.
Most of installation completed, but then it stopped with Error 1935. The installation did a roll-back and removed the software update but did not otherwise change my hard drive.
Error Message: After the installation and the roll-back, I now get the following System Error message after I restart Win 7:
--Start of Error Message--
BTTray.exe - System Error
The program can't start because btwhidcs.DLL is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
--End of Error Message--
Bluetooth Functions: Now, the Bluetooth icon comes on, but the Bluetooth Devices List in Devices and Printers won't load. In Bluetooth Settings, the two devices (Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator and ThinkPad Bluetooth 2.1 with Enhanced Data Rate) are operating. Their device status in hardware properties is: "This device is working properly".
Device Functions: An iPhone won't sync with the laptop, now. A Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 does sync and operate correctly.
