Cable to connect second monitor to X200 Ultrabase

I'm running an X200 with Windows XP and using the X200 Ultrabase -- with a single monitor (connected using a VGA cable). I want to add a second monitor, but am not sure what kind of cable I need for the "displayport" connection. I tried an HDMI cable, but it wouldn't work. My second monitor will accept a VGA PC connection, an S-video connection, or an HDMI connection. Does anyone know whether the second monitor will work with the ultrabase, and if so, what kind of cable I need?

Thanks!

Re: Cable to connect second monitor to X200 Ultrabase

If your monitor has a DVI port, you can use the following product which I bought at Monoprice.com. Product ID 6015, DisplayPort Male to DVI Male 28AWG Cable (Gold Plated Connectors) - 6ft 1 $10.44 $10.44

There is also a DisplayPort to HDMI cable available in the event that your monitor does not support DVI. Make sure you confirm the male/female connections before ordering.

Hope that helps,

Ken
