Can only power off display once. [ Edited ]

So, when I first boot up my computer, I am able to power off my display, either by hitting fn+f3 or by right-clicking the battery and selecting "power off display".  Works fine.  However, once i turn the screen on by using the keyboard/mouse, neither fn+f3 nor selecting "power off display" works again until the comptuer shuts down, goes to sleep, or hibernates.  Then, it works fine again.

Try reinstalling Power Manager?

I have the exact same problem but no solution so far...

When it happens, go to command prompt, and type
powercfg /requests
And hit enter.

It'll list a program under Display, and that will be what's preventing the display from turning off.
