DEP Conflict

Ran updates from system update and DEP pitched a fit. Now the system is buggy... long list of small intermittent errors. Too many to list in detail but one example would be entering standby and then turning the computer on later to find it booting up from scratch except for bypassing my boot login. Then I get an error stating that windows has recovered from a serious error. It talks about the blue screen of death but I never saw one. I turned DEP off and most of the issues went away but the system is still running slow. If I turn DEP back the problems come back. Some would say the problem is DEP but everything ran fine until the updates. Considering that DEP is buried so deep in the system I would expect that the updates would have been written for compatibility with this. Anybody got a clue about this.
