Betreff: Does anyone have x220t pen working properly on edges?

Bah. No firmware update available. Fujitsu machine at work is flawless, it was a joy to go back to it today after trying hard with this thing.

It took me more than a month to decide what machine to buy, on paper this machine is the best of the breed at the moment. Now I'm totally let down.

Back to the drawing board, so to speak.

Yup it is kind of rediculous ModemJunki,
I have had mine over 5 months, approaching 6 months without a fix. I wish I sent mine back in the first week.

Boxed up for return.

The pen on my pen-only unit wouldn't even register on the bottom (hinge side) of the screen - the cursor didn't show up until I moved the pen up 4 or 5mm.

I am very disappointed with Lenovo. Now I have to consider HP, Fujitsu, Samsung etc. again, and I'll be without a tablet on my upcoming trip overseas. :smileysad:

You would think a premium product would get full attention to such a major detail.

Just a "me too" re: tablet inaccuracy.

Support from Lenovo much appreciated, I hope the firmware update for the tablet fixes it.

Sigh.

Samsung 7 tablet out (though tempting) because I use as a notebook 70% of the time sitting on my couch or recliner and 10% of the time traveling. Tablet function for me is mostly sketching out woodworking designs and other ideas for my hobby (though at work I am a OneNote user and ink extensively on a Fujitsu T580, a chunky little thing).

Fujitsu out because they are too pricey for feature set & supply the powered pen (that thing is fat and hurts my hand after a while at work).

I am settling for an HP that I can get with my corporate discount. The Lenovo had better CPU and nicer screen (outdoor) as well as a better keyboard.

Keyword: settling. The HP is magnesium/aluminum alloy and looks slick and all but... this wasn't my first choice. The X220t was.

Shame on Lenovo for scaring me away. :smileymad: For my upcoming vacation I'll have to take my Aspire One netbook, sort of like hopping back onto on a 50cc scooter after test driving a Ferarri....

I'll let you all go back to your regularly scheduled programming now.

Great to see! It would be interesting to see what you x220t users has to say about the fix.

However, it won't even try to install on my x201t though, so the fix seems to be unique for the
x220t.

Betreff: Does anyone have x220t pen working properly on edges?

[ Edited ]

After I've installed it and restarted the X220T, nothing has changed at all.

Then I recalibrated the screen with cmd.exe and the tabcal command.

(I've also calibrated it in this before the update.)

No change.

Than I reset calibration and used standard 4-point calibration and what do I see?

It's much more accurate (however not perfectly accurate) at the left and top edges in tablet mode. (Right and bottom edges were more or less accurate before.

Do not use any other calibration than standard 4-point.

Thanks Lenovo.

Just installed, rebooted, reset calibration data and did Wacom 16 point calibration.
Edge (and the previously patchy centre screen) accuracy is much improved.
Thanks!
