I was just wondering if there is anybody out there who has gotten their USB Port Replicator to show 1440*900. Mine stops at 1280*1024.
I'm running it on a X300 with Vista Ultimate
Please advice !

Completely different set-up, but yes it supports supports video resolutions up to 1440 x 900 at 60 Hz. Not sure if there is more than one port replicator, so perhaps even your replicator is different. I'd be tempted to start by looking at all the settings in Windows and your Lenovo Thinkpad software. Then perhaps look to update the video driver. Check the specs on all your components to be sure they support video resolutions up to 1440 x 900.
Does this same external monitor work at 1440 x 900 when you connect it directly into the Thinkpad, instead of going through the replicator?
Also are you using the dual video capability of the replicator?

I am having the same problem. Just got an X300 and can't get the USB Replicator Display driver to show 1600x1200 which is optimal (and really the only thing that is workable) on my external Samsung Syncmaster 214T monitor. Have tried every setting possible to make 1600x1200 show as an option with no luck. I am running Vista and my monitor worked find with an earlier Vista machine.
Would really appreciate any insight for fix for this. Thanks.

I must agree to offer such a replicator like this one. Unfortunately you cannot choose any other product and you will be aware of this first after you have bought the brilliant X 300. It is a pity for Lenovo doing this combination.
Hope somebody at this company will read these user notes and we do hope that Lenovo will do something within short.
Just think of all Lenovo X300 users with extra nice Samsungs wide screen monitors every time they will be at the office have to put in all cables at the back! Thought X 300 should bring something better!
