Good and easy to handle (and maybe free) drawing programs for use with digitizer pen?

Hey folks!

I'm a bit of a newcomer as a tablet user and was hoping to get some advice from you about drawing programms. By drawing I mean more or less sketching. Does somebody know a good and easy to handle program that's maybe also free? Maybe you have also some experiences to share about drawing on a tablet?

I've used Google SketchUp and SmoothDraw and they were both free. They both work fine for sketching, etc.
