Hi trfox, and welcome to the Lenovo User Community!
No touch on the Entry and Outdoor, pen only.
Here's a very good video review of the X201T by MobileTechReview. Check around 5m40s in if you don't have time to watch the whole thing:

I've been wondering, there's a lot of hardware out there that's only meant to be single touch, both in capacitive and resistive touch screens... shouldn't adding true multi-touch to an older "multitouch" (read: fake...guess who bought their tablet in August 2009), be as simple as a firmware update?

Unfortunately, it's different hardware that allows it to be able to track the multiple touches of a true multitouch.

NU7DNCX whether this model multitouch? Not responding to the finger but only in pencil. When i start the calibration window, says that he does not have the required hardware??!?!?!?? Thanks in advance

Google says the NU7DNCX has the SuperBright Outdoor screen. No finger touch.

Thanks for your prompt response, I hope to be wrong so I'll continue to try to revive this monitor. if it turns out you're right ....
I can only say that I am totally disappointed with Lenovo's marketing gimmick. I looked out the official video presentation on the Lenovo site and based on hardware specifications and the demos, decided to X201 Tablet. the only one that was available on the market and sent the order, was the controversial model. I can not believe that there is no touch screen!!! Nowhere in the presentation did not clearly specify the difference between these models and all carry the X201 Tablet. So I misled and now I have a problem. Disappointed I am ashamed !@#$%^&

Hi,
I also feel misled and confused by Lenovo. I just bought X201 tablet without multi touch screen to discover that single touch = pen only and mutli touch = pen and screen!!!
I think they must differentiate more clearly from the standard in industry (IPhone). I don’t have a chance to return tablet back since I bought it in US and live in EU. I would like to ask someone, If I can replace the screen by myself.
My product ID = 0831-CTO and I found related FRUs for multitouch:
63Y3000 - LCD panel, 12.1-in. WXGA, LED backlight for multitouch panel
60Y4166 - LCD bracket L and R for multitouch panel
60Y4717 - LCD cable assembly for multitouch panel
45M2827 - Micro-Processor card for multitouch panel
Am I right, if I get these parts, I will be able to get multitouch functionality?
Many thanks in advance for your opinions.

Hi all! Can you help me with my question?
i bougth in Chile a x201Tablet thinking in a multitouch (2 finger) system as lenovo says in their website.
but only works the pencil.
I don't know if I don't have a multitouch system, or my screen is bad.
I was very so confused searching for information and was a very big deception with lenovo ![]()
So big, that for a first time in my life I will start a legal demand again lenovo chile for fraudulent publicity.
My system is Tablet x201 311392S
Thank you in advance and all the best
Miguel
