Lenovo x200 Audio Issue Running win7

Hey everyone,

I've searched around quite a bit for a solution to this but have yet to find an aswer that has worked so hopefully someone here will be help out. I recently purchased an x200 tablet that was upgraded running windows 7 ultimate (originally ran vista business) everything works fine with the system expect for the audio. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers provided by lenovo (both the windows vista and windows 7 drivers) and still havnt had any luck. The audio plays fine when speakers or headphones are plugged in but no sound comes out of the internal speakers and according to windows device manager the "devices are working properly" I called lenovo support and they just suggested reinstalling the drivers. If anyone has found a working solution to this any help would be much appreciated.

Try an Ubuntu Live environment to rule out a hardware issue.
