Hi, Mark,

 

           I got the tablet. Thank you. However, I still did not get printer and my 3 year warranty updated in the system. My order number is 2CY7FL. I contacted the call center two days ago and was told that  my order has not been invoiced. I checked my credit card and there is no amount charged or hold for this order. Could you please check my order again and let me what had happened in my order.

Apologies for not getting back to this thread after I had last stepped in.  

I do try to check in and will help, but I would recommend that you continue to contact sales as your primary method of support.

I feel bad coming back to a thread and seeing a lot of requests for help that have gone unanswered for several days.

Cavenger - I see you canceled 9/2.  Sorry that we didn't come through for you.  Hope you'll keep us in mind.

 

Hakaslak - Thank you for sticking with us, and even finding an interrim solution.  I love my tablet (using it now) and hope you will as well.  I hope you'll continue to share your ownership experiences - hints and tips for others here in the forum.

 

IHB26 - looks like your order shipped 9/4.  You should have it by now - send me a PM if not, or you need the tracking #

 

Sfauzia - present ship date shows 9/11 , so I'll follow up late tomorrow.

 

XMM - Looks like you've been able to reach sales - the order has shipped but not invoiced, and we will get that sorted out.  Looks like your printer is supposed to be on the way by around the 15th.  I don't see a separate order number for it, usually orders split and you will have a 9Fxxxx derivative order number to track the other items.   I'll follow up and get back to you tomorrow.

 

bekllyaz - suggest you start a separate discussion on the tether "how too".  That way we can keep the shipping thread focused, and you can get more visibilty for your question.

I have contacted sales recently, and when I called they informed me my order would be shipped next week (on or by the 18th). The only positive side is that the customer service representative put me on the critical list (because I had already missed a shipping date). The CS representative also told me that it might ship before the 18th... Sigh. I really wish I could use the x61 in school as early as next Tuesday.

[Edit] I wasn't able to edit my message sooner as I had some browser issues, but my tablet shipped the 11th! The only problem now is waiting for it to arrive..."A FLIGHT DELAY OCCURRED BECAUSE OF MECHANICAL REASONS" seems to have delayed the shipping, and now I'm waiting on customs so it can (finally!) arrive.        Thank you very much. Do you have any updates on my order? Actually, I contacted call center a lot of times.
Almost everytime, I got different information about the status of my order. Also, I was told the invoicing problem would be solved or has already been solved by the different people before and after I got the tablet. However, I found it has not been solved. Anyway, you were very helpful and I appreatiate it.

I placed my order on September 2, 2008 and received confirmation on September 3, 2008.  My estimated ship date is November 25, 2008 (from the online status via email link).

 

I have always ordered from DELL.  If there is an expected 'unusual' delay, you know at the time the order is placed.  Is it normal for Lenovo to have a 2+ month "order time" to deliver a new computer?

 

A Fujitsu order indicates about a week to 10 days for a custom tablet order.

 

I have a jpeg image of my order receipt but don't know how to post it.

 

The text email doesn't have any estimated ship date.

Where is it today? : Stuck in Customs in KY.  Lenovo cust service ~ well when customs releases it I will have it next day.   lets hope its not long.  Having worked for UPS when customs holds it is either paperwork not filled out by shipper, or when security is high.

That's actually reassuring to me--I was worried if I was the only one. My tablet also shipped the 11th--though I ordered my tablet two weeks before you :smileytongue:. My tablet was also supposed to deliver the 15th, and it appears to also be stuck in customs (in Kentucky). I called Lenovo, and they told me this is just standard procedure--and that  it's not just one tablet that has to be cleared, but the whole batch that they shipped. Here's my latest status messages:

Could you possibly explain the multiple import scans? I called UPS, and they told me that Louisville only recieved the package at 2:02 PM...but then why is there another import scan at 11:56 PM? I hope our packages get delivered today (My rescheduled delivery date is for today).

 

To answer your question, UPS told me that it was paperwork that Lenovo had to supply. That's why I called Lenovo, and the CS representative told me that Lenovo has a "contract", and I should take his word for it that there was no additional information that they had to provide...

I got a similar tracking record. Mine was supposed to arrive on 9/11, but it has been held up by "flight delays due to mechanical problems" and customs clearance. Perhaps they upped security on incoming packages because of 9/11/01?

 

So much for two-day shipping  :smileysad:.
