Re: X Series Tablet Shipping Messages

I think the problem is that it is a Canadian order. I did not receive that link and when I tried it with my own customer number and order number the two numbers were invalid again. I will call Lenovo today and see if they can provide any information.

Re: X Series Tablet Shipping Messages

I called in and after being transferred to the Canadian department, I was assured that the laptop would arrive before the end of the month, which is good because I move at the end of the month. I was a little disappointed that the first rep didn't recognise my 1-digit order number as a Canadian number; I had to remind him a bit so he would transfer me to the Canadian department. At least the whole experience was very quick; hats off to the phone support team there.

Re: X Series Tablet Shipping Messages

[ Edited ]

Ordered a X61 Tablet with L7500, Vista Business, 12.1" SXGA+, 3GB, 160GB 7200rpm, no bluetooth (strangely it wasn't offered), 4965AGN, 8 cell battery + 2 day shipping on 8/3/08. Before ordering it gave an estimated ship date of 1-2 weeks. After shipping i received the estimated ship date of 8/18/08 (little more then 2 weeks). The online order status also gives this date. However I just recently called lenovo at 1-866-96-THINK, and they told me the estimated ship date was the week of September 8th. That is more then 5 weeks. I was hoping of receiving my laptop before school starts (on August 21st). Extremely annoyed.

8/19/08: Online estimated ship date now 9/1/08.

9/5/08: I canceled my order last week after estimated ship date moving back even further (to 9/15/08, but it probably wouldn't ship then anyway). Canceling my order is still "in progress" a week after I was promised it would be cancelled within 24 to 48 hours.

Re: X Series Tablet Shipping Messages

I ordered a tablet on 8/4. My order number is 2CY7FL. I found the charge was hold on my credit card when I placed order. However, I found the authoriation hold fell off on 8/13. I called 3 times to the customer service but got different information about my order. I was told that my charge was not approved in one reponse and will call me back in two day after the charge problem  was resolved. But I did not receive the call after 48 hours as promised. Also, I was told that my order was ok in two other calls. Could you please do me a favor and confirm: (1) if the charge to my credit card was approved, and (2) when my order will be processed and delivered.

Thanks a lot.

Note to Lenovo....

When people, your customers, buy something from you and spend lots of mone ~$1500.00 in my case....they want to their product in a timely manner. Having to wait weeks for the product to arrive is not preferrable. Beyond the fact of just slow delivering the product, can you AT LEAST give timely updates? Here is what I think most people would like to see.... 1. Confirmation email that order was placed. You do that now. 2. Confirmation that the credit card was validated. 3. Confirmation that the machine is being configured. 4. More periodic updates. 5. Confirmation that credit card has been charged. 6. Confirmation of shipment. 7. Confirmation of cancellation if applicable. Oh and for goodness sake, make the website reflect the same statuses that go out in email. People dont want to worry about a cancellation going through or not. They generally just want to know what the status is of their order....and mostly they want their computer in a timely manner. Thanks, cav

Re: X Series Tablet Shipping Messages

I called Lenovo again for status and was told that the tablet should arrive "the first week of September". I'm starting to become a bit concerned because when I called previously I was told "before the end of the month". Despite all the work that Lenovo has put in, is this going to keep slipping? I'm rather dismayed now because it looks like i'll be an hour and a half away when the tablet actually gets here.

Re: X Series Tablet Shipping Messages

Juntom10,

It looks like your present estimated ship date is 8/28, and I realize this is toward the outside of the 2-3 week estimate.  Typically shipping from the plant to our Canadian customers takes 7-10 days.

Additional details via PM.

Mark

i concur. it's silly that I have been looking at a status page that simply says "in process" for the past week and a half. surely they are doing something? I hope. Give me status updates!
