SLOW X220T FINGERPRINT READER STARTUP [ Edited ]

Hello,

I have an X220 tablet windows 7 professional, i7 2.7GHz, 8GB ram, 320GB 7200rpm HDD. 

I have a similar problem. When i startup my machine the PLEASE WAIT of the fingerprint software comes on and takes about 1 min 30 seconds before the SWIPE ON GREEN comes.

This sometimes causes me to escape and type in my password rather.

Is this a problem with the fingerprint reader software?

Kindly uninstall the fingerprint reader software and download the software from here

Please install it and check.

Out of curiosity, the one you posted looks older than the one posted on the Driver download page.

Any reason why that's hanging around if this is a known isuse?

What worked for me was to exclude the following files from the Microsoft Security Essentials:

C:\Program Files\Lenovo Fingerprint Software\FPApp.exe

C:\Windows\System32\ATService.exe

This caused finger print reader to become available immediately at the windows logon screen.
