ThnkPad X201 3680-1T2; QualComm Gobi 2000 question [ Edited ]

Hello,

I have a small question about the QualComm Gobi 2000 in the ThinkPad X201 3680-1T2, I wonder if I can send SMS with it in my laptop. I brought SMSCaster however it gives me an error, I have no idea how I can get it to send SMS. Can someone point me into the correct directions to send a SMS using the Gobi 2000, please state the software when used or the settings (and where I can find the settings to enable SMS).

PS: for those who are unfamiliar with the ThinkPad X201 3680-1T2, it is not a touchpad version.

When you open Access Connections, is the SMS icon on the Tools tab greyed out or in color?  When you left-click your Mobile Broadband icon on the Tools tab (in Access Connections), do you have an option with which to enable SMS?  I have have a similar question for my X201 3249 (about which I have made a similar post).  I have read on the Lenovo Community about SMS problems with Windows 7 but,considering many of these postings were made over a year ago, one would think that a solution to this problem would have been found by now.
