Manufacture: Week 45 of 2008

Monitor Size : 12 inches (estimated)
Aspect Ratio : 16:10

DPMS Active-Off : Yes

Google (and other forums) yield nothing about the manufacturer based upon that code.  Lenovo parts lookup for this system doesn't list a FRU for the LCD.  Specific information appreciated.

The HMM for your model specifies the FRU number for the LCD panel.

Exactly, George.  I'd assumed by everything I'd read that it's a Hydis LCD (and I still think so), but confirmation would be nice.  Searching on the (potentially) applicable FRUs in the HMM yield no results.  It won't make any difference about my opinion of the LCD, but I'm one of those people who likes the details of what's in his systems.

Start > Control Panel > Device Manager

Then expand the Monitors section.

Double-click "Generic PnP Monitor"

Go to the Details tab.

From the drop-down box select "Hardware IDs"

On my IdeaPad, I get MONITOR\AUO9274. It is an AU Optronics LCD.

A google search might result in an answer. Hope this helps.

I didn't notice that you already posted LEN4011 on your first post. Anyways, I did a google search for LTN121AP and got this. It seems that it is manufactured by Samsung.

Samsung is producing AFFS panels?!  Surely you jest.  More, the data on the page you provide does not match the manufacturer ID code identified by PC Wizard 2008.  I'm not saying you're wrong on this, but I'm, well, very skeptical of the notion that Samsung--and not Hydis--made this panel.  This suspicious arises from conversations with ajkula66 and this thread at notebookreview.com.

@ajkula66:  given your immense experience with IPS panels, what're your thoughts on this possibility?

@Mark_Lenovo:  might I PM you my type and serial information for you to investigate this?  Lenovo support, when I did so, had no idea whatever.  I'd dearly love to know who makes this panel, if for no other reason than my own knowledge of exactly what's in my system.

Manufacturers usually have a general way of numbering. In the link I posted above, it was showing LTN121AP02-001. The panel in your X200T is LTN121AP03-001. Now if this were newly designed panels, information wouldn't be available for some time.

The LTN121AP02-001 is a CCFL backlit panel. And if you assume that the LTN121AP03-001 is an LED backlit panel [reference from the other thread], than it would generally be the same manufacturer.

Notice the following....

LTN154X3-L02

LTN133AT07-001

LTN141W1-L09

They generally start with LTN, then the screen size, then what I would assume is the display standard along with production line numbers.

I would have to say that disassembly would be the only method to answer this question with 100% certainty.

Thank you for the detailed information, ortegaluis;  I appreciate the time and effort you've given to this issue.  If this is indeed a Samsung AFFS panel, it emerged from left field.  I'm just surprised they are manufacturing these.  I have asked Mark_Lenovo to query additional sources of information he may have regarding the manufacturer of this LCD and will await his response, too.  Knowing the manufacturer of an LCD is helpful in determining precise system specifications and can greatly increase resale value of a machine, because some LCDs are much more highly sought than others.  

Regarding disassembly:  that's a last resort among all others, and something I'd have to ask someone with proper tools and knowledge to do, if at all.
