And to clarify: the tech didn't really happen upon the part by luck. There is a very helpful IBM/Lenovo support person who escalated the problem to the engineers so that the part was correctly entered into the parts database, enabling me to finally get the laptop fixed.  She was very diligent in bulldoging the problem (as we say down here in GA).

Thanks for the information and clarification, Jim.  There are indeed helpful support personnel at Lenovo and I'm glad to hear she worked hard to resolve the problem with your tablet.

Jim is a lucky one - I called Lenovo technical support center and the guy answered my phone was not able to tell me the brand and model of my X201's LCD panel with the FRU# provided... :smileysad: Jim, could you please let me know the contact information of the engineer helped you with that?
