I have a brand new X201t running Windows 7 - 64 bit. I have two 8 cell batteries, one purchased a month ago one that was delivered with the system three days ago.
One battery will charge to 35% and the other will charge to 40%. The two batteries will charge to 100% when they are connected to the auxiliary charger on the X200 UltraBase.
What needs to be done to get the unit to charge to 100% ?
A BIOS update is available resolve these symptoms - please see formal tip on Lenovo support site for additional details.
Update the BIOS to version 1.09 or later. There are 2 ways to update the bios.
1. Via the bootable CD.
You will need to burn the iso image to a disc and then boot via the optical drive. It's pretty straight forward. Just follow the instructions in the link.
2. Via the BIOS update utility. Use the Winphlash utility.
