X220 broken screen, need second opinion [ Edited ]

Hello I just joined this forum, this will be my first post.

Title pretty much says it. My computer has been having an issue with the screen where the picture is off/discolored on the left side of the screen along a well defined vertical line, see the image below. Sometimes the issue just goes away,  sometimes its really bad and sometimes its mild. There isn't much consistency as far timing goes but what is consistent is the fact that this takes place in the same spot every time. Computer runs fine other than this and the touchscreen still works, even when the colors on the display change in this strange fashion. What do you guys think could be the cause? Any advice would be appreciated. TIA.

that definitely doesn't look right. It should be a LCD controller issue, which would require a new screen fitted.

Looks like you also have a white blotch in the bottom right of the screen, just a little bit above where it shows 100%. A screen replacement should take care of the white blotch as well.

I'm having a similar problem, but when I push on the bottom of the screen/bezel, it seems to fix the problem.  Rather than a controller problem, could this just be a problem of the LCD connection getting loose?

No. There is a contact tape that has delaminated. You need a panel
