Thanks for the quick reply Sarbin. I am currently in the middle of restoring the system. Not a happy camper.

Full system restore and still no tablet functions at all.
This went from an inconvenience
to a nightmare pretty quickly.

is tvsu offering you any updates that would seemingly have a positive impact?
sorry if you've already gone there...

I tried all available updates.
Lenovo wants to look at it. I am pretty dissapointed and I know problems exist with all electronics, but I feel like I should have went with my second choice. This is purely unacceptable for a $1700 machine, and the rep on the phone couldn't even offer up an "I'm sorry". I have had this thing 2 weeks, checked everything for functionality when I received it and basically didn't mess with it much until last Friday. Today is the first day of school and I am required to have a laptop with me every single day. Should have just bought two $800 machines so that I would always have a back up.
Noticed last night that my memory hatch screws are stripped as well. Great QC coming out of Lenovo. Keep up the good work. Also teach your phone reps to have a little compassion when a customer's $1700 computer loses half of is functions after owning it for 2 weeks.
I love the design of the X230t and was excited to use it in school, but I am about to the point of just returning it and disputing the charges.

And I also get to lose out on the $30 screen protector that I purchased, since it won't be usable anymore.
Fun times. They will love dealing with Amex.

You can try your luck with another $1700 machine if you want.

I see my thread was somewhat hijacked since I've started school but I figure I'd update anyway...
I have tried all driver and bios options and everyone around me has determined it to be a hardware issue. I have seen little feedback from lenovo but am In the RMA process, waiting to hear from them.
In the meantime I have been using a convertible tablet as a laptop and it works great as a laptop, I just wish for $1700 it would work great as a convertible tablet...
