I believe the connectors at the hinge of my x61 tablet is the source of problem.
Earlier I mentioned that I had no access to the top of my screen with the digitizer, which is now restored. Now, when I turn the screen to the 90 degree to flip it over, I lose sound.
I have to disable sound device in the device manager and restore it, but remain unable to get sound in tablet mode.
Is this a common problem?
thanks

As you are experiencing sound from connectors at the hinges while rotating the screen, I would suggest please contact the Lenovo Service Centre and there the available representative will assist you .
Thanks & Regards,

I took the x61t apart to find that the microphone cable was ruptured and shorting wih the hinge. I wrapped it in electrical tape and the sound is not affected if I rotate the screen.
