Hi,
Notebook details:
X220 Tablet
Bought online over U.S ebay on 23/12/2011. I started using on 27/12/2011. It has 3-year depot warranty.
Product: 42962YU
I encountered a problem a couple of days ago. The hard disk made grinding noises after the notebook was turned off. It now happens every time i turn off the notebook.
I am a new Lenovo user/customer. Please provide guidance.

Welcome to the forum!
You'll have to call the local support number, and they'll ship a replacement hard drive. The defective one will have to be returned to them in most cases.

Hi,
I gave the local support center a call, and talked to one of the consultants.
I was asked to run a test using Pc-Doctor. The hard drive passed all the tests.
But the noise still persists; it is still there.
I will give them another call tomorrow.

A consultant from Lenovo just called saying that Lenovo will send a replacement by the end of the week.
Ratings:
Customer service = 10/10
Warranty service = 10/10
