installing software from DVD/CD

Hello, I have software on a CD/DVD that I need to install. My system is connected to a home workgroup to another machine that has such a drive. Can I install using this network?

 

Also, I purchased a tether for the stylus so it remains attached to the tablet. how do I connect the tether to the tablet?
