I am planning on upgrading my X220T harddrive to a 180GB Intel SSD
Was wondering if anyone had any advice on the subject
I was just goning to follow the guide here: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/X-Series-Tablet-ThinkP
except swap the drive when it comes time to install windows again
I would buy the lenovo one but it's far too overpriced so here's the one I'm looking at
compared to
The non-lenovo one is thicker 9.5mm compared to 6.8mm is that an issue?
The SATA III interface will work right?

Thanks I've been looking around but it seems like most drives are 9.5mm not 7mm anyone have any suggestions on which one to buy?

Thanks I really like the specs on it and the reviews are all great but what do you mean by modify? I am not a noob but not a pro either and the 5 year warranty is abig selling point for me so I wouldn't risk voiding that
If I can't find a good intel one I heard Crucial was good as well and they seem to advertise thickness better

Prior to purchasing any drive with a spacer that you would need to remove, you should check with the manufacturer to confirm that it will not void the warranty on the SSD. With Intel, if you remove the spacer you void the warranty. Additionally, removing the spacer often isn't sufficient as you also need new shorter screws. These screws can be difficult to find.
