3g modem in x220?

Hello

Im going to buy x220 soon with Gobi 3000 4g modem so I have one question about it. Im from Poland and I need to get one of these machines from US cuz in my country there isnt even official sale of this model yet. And my question is:

1. If I will get x220 with Gobi 3000, will it work with normal 3g sim cards from my polish 3g operators? Or it will work only with US operators? Its very important for me cuz I dont want to spend 125 bucks more for useless device in my country

2. I have also 3g modem from SL 500 Thinkpad(sony ericsson 3705g or smth like that), can I install it in brand new x220 without gobi 3000?

Could anybody check it for me? Or at least someone from lenovo can answer me about that?

If you buy it from the UK you can specify an EU standard modem that will certainly work in Poland.

Of course it is much cheaper to buy a USB data dongle, some phone companies even give them away free with a data contract. Then you can plug it into any laptop you like!
