Re: Any suggestion about msata SSD?

Thank you Sarbin. It is helpful. I think cucial is a good choice. Another question: as I only want a SSD serving as a cache, what capacity do I need?

you're welcome.

i can't really answer as i'm new to ssds and chose mine based on a boot drive role, but lead_org's post above listing the 16 and 32 gb lenovo parts, suggests that those would be common sizes. i'm sure someone knowledgable on the subject will be along to help.

cheers!

Hello Linenland,

I suggest the 32gb mSATA from Lenovo. This will be a sufficient amount for cache.  It will definitely speed up the speed of your Hard disk drive.  The Lenovo 16gb is the one that normally comes with the computers that are shipped with mSATA expresscache.  You probably already know it takes up the WWAN slot. :smileywink:

Anyways, I would go with the 32gb from Lenovo. Plenty of space for cache.

Hope this helps,

Alex
