Breaching of warranty when self-servicing

Assalamualaikum,hi guys..

I'm a new laptop users, before only using desktop and this x201s is my first item bought under Lenovo's brand.I've got some questions on the warranty.

Let's say if I'm going to service the ventilations (well, let's say the fan is badly full with dust)..If I dissemble the laptop and servicing it myself, does it will breach the warranty? Then,if this situation arise, what should I do in order to not breaching the warranty?

Re: Breaching of warranty when self-servicing

Welcome to the forum!

Remove the keyboard and clean the fan out with compressed air (hold the fins in place by a toothpick or a small screwdriver and you're well within your rights.

If you want to swap athe screen, that's a whole different ballgame...

Cheers,

George
