The camera on my X300 is not working. I cant find it in the device manager also. I downloaded and tried to install the drivers but nothing happens even after installing it. What should I do?

Hi and welcome to the forum,
What is the 7 character product number of your X300? it can be found on the back sticker and looks something like 2668-KHU.
The camera requires a software to work which is not included with the system, try installing Skype, Live Messenger, Aims etc. to test the camera.
You can use a freeware like Yawcam to record videos and take pictures.

The product number is 6478-18Q. Actually the camera used to work but suddenly stopped working. Infact I hadn't used the camera for some time and noticed it when I tried to use it later. I tried to activate it with skype but it still wasn't able to detect it. I'm using windows XP
