Display Issue - Lines and dashes accross the screen [ Edited ]

Can some one please tell me what is causing this?

Is this a driver problem? Its not always like this. Sometimes if i refrsh the desktop its fixes itself but will come back more or less as soon as another windows opens. screenshot attched. Thanks in advnace

type B is the one im experiencing and all the symptoms match. i have 3GB RAM 1 x 2GB & 1 x 1GB, VT is turned on in the bios and running win7.

So i suggest ill start with turning VT off.

you would need to take out one of the ram module, or get another 2 gigs stick.
