Excel 2003 crashes when using CTRL-FN key swap in BIOS

Question

If I swap the CTRL-FN keys in the BIOS (1.19) on a X220 and then use CTL-C, CTL-V to copy and past in Excel 2003, it will crash every time.  Running Windows 7 64-bit.

Anybody have a workaround, or just use a newer version?

Answer

The FN-CTRL key swap was not the cause of the Excel 2003 crashes.  It was in fact the Lenovo BlueTooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software II conflicting with 2003 Office programs on Windows 7 64-bit.

At the time of the initial discussion, a related discussion on MS Answers attributed the issue to the bluetooth driver.

Lenovo has since released updated Bluetooth drivers, and these should be downloaded and installed from the Lenovo support site to resolve these symptoms.
