I've had a continuing problem (with the trackpoint) that phone support hasn't solved. I decided to do a full reset to factory-fresh condition to ensure that Lenovo can't point to anything I did.
I restarted, pressed the blue ThinkVantage button, then F11 - I got a message that NTLDR is missing.
I've made sure never to touch either of the Lenovo virtual drives - one named Service, one named Lenovo.
Any ideas on how to address this? I don't have an optical drive.
