GPS on the X201

My model of the X201 is the 3249 CTO and I recently came across this driver while googling up "x201 gps"

here

 

Has anyone tried to get the GPS system on their x201 to work, and is this driver from a legitimate source?

 

Furthermore, do I need any other devices/gadgets to get the GPS to work?  Or do I just this driver?
