How to clone a X200 hard disk

I need to clone the original hard drive in my new X200 to an identical hard drive (same size) in the docking station.

I nedd to be able to put the cloned disk in my X200 and have it boot up and work as if it were the original.

I have tried every cloning software I can find -- from Acronis, to Apricorn, to Ghost, to Clone Genius.

Nothing works. Does anyone have any ideas?

I use Apricorn's EZ Gig II cloning software on my X61 and it works perfectly.

Something has changed on the X200. Anyone know what and how to fix it?

Re: How to clone a X200 hard disk

Not sure if I understand what you're talking about, but EASEUS Partition Manager Home Edition (http://www.partition-tool.com/download.htm) is a free tool that has hard drive copying capabilities. Also HDClone (http://www.miray.de/products/sat.hdclone.html) does hard drive copying. I believe both of these create a replica of the image of your hard drive and should allow you to boot from them. Hope one of them works for you
