In the readme associated with the AMT Driver, it says:
- AMT devices are hidden by default and you cannot install the AMT device drivers. If you need to enable AMT, contact your network administrator.
Since in my case I *AM* the network administrator, how would I install these device drivers, or uninstall them for that matter.
If I enable the AMT device I BIOS, and then choose "View Hidden Devices" in Device Manager would that be enough.... simple as that.... or more to it?
It looks to me if you follow the instructions on the download pages for the 3 components that you ought to be able to istall this.... am I overlooking something?
Also I see on the Device Matrix that the Management Engine Firmware (2.6.30.1051) was released about a month and a half before the Management Engine Interface (2.6.30.1046) and the Local Manageability Service and Serial Over LAN Driver (5.3.1.1046), and while all three of those items show on the Driver Matrix that they are for Vista and XP, both of the items released in April show they are also for Windows 7 once you go to the download page for the individual items by clicking on them in the Driver Matrix, while the Management Engine Firmware (2.6.30.1051) even after you go to it's download page says it is only for Vista and XP.
Is this a typo on the Download page, or is the Management Engine Firmware (2.6.30.1051) really not suitable for Windows 7?
