Lenovo X220 Mute Microphone Button

I recently had to reimage my laptop with Win7 Pro 64-bit. I installed all the listed drivers, but still somehow my mute microphone button will not work. It will light up for a second upon boot but after that it will not repsond. Any suggestions??

download Thinkvantage System Update, let it pull down all the update from the web. See whether that fixes your issue.

This didn't help the issue, what other troubleshooting should I perform??

Well I did some more research and found this article that helped me out, if you don't have all of these parts working right the microphone button will not work.
