hi all, got my X200 and super stoked. i wanted to create a recovery disc, but since i don't have an optical drive, i was hoping to have it backed up to an 8GB usb drive.
here's the reason why i'm looking to do the recovery disc. i want to be able to clone the whole HDD if possible, so in the event if i clean install the Win7 x64 and fails, i would at the very least have something to recover back quickly and without having any issues.
i'm open to suggesions... any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!

You can't create the recovery media onto an usb unfortunately, as per whatever agreement that Microsoft have imposed during licensing, no laptop companies will have this feature...
but you can clone your entire hdd image onto external hdd or usb if you use Acronis True_image

grr.. stupid agreement. so even if i attached a usb external hdd.. i still won't be able to clone it? cuz i tried the thinkadvantage and it shows an option to save to USB external storage drive. but it was grayed out. ![]()
