I am having a problem with no brightness control after waking my x200 from sleep. I had a similar problem with my T400 and a BIOS update fixed that, however, I have the latest BIOS for my x200. I am in college and I sometimes use sleep in between classes and find that a restart is the only way to regain the Fn+brightness hotkeys usage. It gets a little tedious when I need a quick restart in-between note taking sessions and have to wait for windows to reboot ![]()
If there is anyone from Lenovo listening please look into this matter! TIA.

I'm fairly certain it's a windows 7 problem. It's happening with different makes and models of computers. The common factor is windows 7. It might have to do with sp1.
Until it's fixed, there's a workaround that might work for you.
Control panel, power options, choose what the power buttons do. On, when I press the power button, choose sleep.
In, when I close the lid, choose, do nothing.
When you press the power button to put it to sleep, you have to let it go to sleep before you close the lid.
When you wake it from sleep, open the lid first before you wake it with the power button.
Pain in the butt, I know, but it seems to work.

Thanks!
I'm in midterms week and am busy until 5pm today. I'll definitely give your suggestions a whirl!
