Just now, I received a email from Lenovo Virtual Store, it said "Your order is being process and is scheduled for delivery 02/17/08". It means my order is restarted, but I have to wait another 4 weeks shipping shift after 4 weeks waitting. Taste the joy with (of) my pain.

It looks as though your order had been held in customs for a long time (12th - 21st) by the UPS tracking information.  The site now shows progress on your order, and we will do all we can to get it released and delivered as soon as possible.
 
I apologize for the delay.
 
Update: UPS shows delivery 1/23.   Renn,  can you confirm?

However , I got a email from lenovo which said my order time is 01/24/2008

Its good that I found this forum.
 
my first order was Dec 30 #4240001378, a nice deal for X61 $1228 tax included
but then I found out it has been canceled with NO REASON after a week I called to check the status.
 
Fine, I order again on Jan 9, 08, # 4240001948, ‏since the rep mentioned would give me back the same discount as I was.
$1494 tax included before the discount.
 
Jan 18 got the comfirmation mail it listed $1689........well...they didnt give me discount PLUS charged me tax AGAIN!!!
Fine, I called in and find the same rep who dealed with me, he told me that he will fix it back to $1250 sth no problem.
I asked him when will the item would arrive, because I will leave the country on Feb 18.
He said that i will get it for sure.
 
After that...i didnt get anything...
i called many times....usually wait more than 45 mins...
no one can tell me the arriving time.
 
Since I have read TONS of the complains about the Lenovo Canada, I am wondering...should I just cancel it instead that.

Funny story, I did not notice that Lenovo has such a big shipping issue. All i know before is that Thinkpad is such a stable computer. And for sure i've watched "legends of thinkpad" videos.

So after i read all the bad stories about the shipping, i called Lenovo on 28th. A guy answered my call with a very reluctant voice. but anyways, i was very nice to him. So i told him my order number and asked whats the est.shipping date. He told me my laptop will be shipped out on 18th Feb.
So i am just wondering, is it possible for me to get my laptop at the end of Feb?
BTW, i am a residence of Canada.
More than one month waiting is already unacceptable, I do not wanna wait any longer.

I ordered mine on Dec 31/2007.  Still not here.

In fact, there has been no feedback whatsoever from Lenovo about its progress.  Furthermore, there still hasn't been a transaction for my purchase on my credit card, and its expiry was Jan/08, which just passed.

What happened to "2-3 weeks"?  At this point, all this waiting has just made me think that if I survived this long without the laptop, maybe I don't need it after all. :smileytongue:
