Please Help!. X300 Can Not Recover

Hi All,

I am trying to fix my other laptop. X300.

It started as a simple problem of it can not connect to the internet using wireless.  I tried re-installing the TCP/IP controls, and still can not connect to wireless.

It then moved on to not able to connect via cable as well, after about two weeks.

After backing up all the file, I tried to re-install and do a system recover, by which I got the notice message saying that the The Produce Recovery has been removed from the system.

Could anyone please advice?

Thank you so much!

Re: Please Help!. X300 Can Not Recover

Click window-> and then right click the computer -> Manage

Then look under disk management and see if there is a 9.77GB hidden partiion call (Recovery Parition) as well as a 1.46GB (Active partion).

If the recovery partition is gone, then you are out of luck unlees you can find a X300 recovery disk set (3 DVD set) or find someone with another X300 that you can copy this partition to your disk. (get Acronis Home Image, 15 days trial, enough to do this)

If you have this recovery partition, then download Base Software Administrator from lenovo Thinkvantage and do a clean install.

BTW, next time when you get a new lenovo, BACK UP the **bleep** 3 DVD.
