Thinkpad Mini 10 - Screen replacement

Hey guys,

Just after some advice. The Thinkpad Mini 10 is a school laptop under the DER. After a slight mishap at school, the screen is cracked. I took it to the technical support officer and he said the replacement of the screen is $250, and a brand new laptop is $300! Do such laptops have warranty on them or can someone from Lenovo help me out?

Most standard warranties do not cover accidental damage. However, this type of extended coverage is sometimes available at an additional cost. See Lenovo's warranties here:  Lenovo Warranties

these screens maybe sold through IBM parts, but won't be very cheap.

It is probably better for you to find broken units on the web and the screen that way.
