I reformatted my X220i last night. I downloaded all the drivers via Lenovos website. Everything seems to work fine except a couple things;
1) This is the big one--the screen brightness buttons don't work. All of the other Fn keys work, so I'm unsure what the problem could be. Furthermore, I can't change the brightness by adjusting the power settings. it's stuck at a VERY low brightness level and I can barely see this text as I type it--super frustrating!
2) The display is showing in up in control panel as "Generic PnP Monitor"--perhaps the two issues are correlated?
3) Not a problem persay, but in WIE my graphics/gaming graphics scores a 1. I downloaded the drivers, so i have no clue why!
Thanks guys. I really need to get this brightness thing figured out--any ideas/suggestions would be of great help to me.

The best way is to install all drivers via Lenovo ThinkVantage System Update.
Then it will be work fine.

One question for this: Do you have a WWAN (UMTS) module inside?
