EasyEject isn't necessary anymore, Windows 7 has the necessary support built in.

Thank you for the response. Could you please let me know which thinkpad utilities needs to be downloaded and installed for Win 7?

i guess that depends on what you're using now and what you like. i like the windows wireless setup so i don't use access connections. i don't like lenovo power manager, i use windows. i like lenovo's keyboard customizer utility and hotkeys. i would install lenovo's system update at least and let it scan your system and see if there will be any updated drivers after you install windows 7. windows 7 installs most if not all the drivers. after it installs go into device manager and see if there is anything that didn't install. (any yellow tags on anything) the only thing i needed to do is update the chipset drivers. i used the update version of windows 7 but i did a custom install, that gave me a clean install. doing the upgrade install from vista kinda messes things up sometimes.

Thanks for the info,
Win 7 installation took care of all necessary setup. The only problem I have is switching on/off the wifi. The Fn+F5 is not working and I do not have any icon in the tray to access the wifi on/off switch. Any help?
Thanks

control panel, system, device manager, network adapter, is your device listed? if so, right click it, choose properties, it should say it is working properly. are you using access connections or windows to manage the network connections? did you install hotkeys or are they already installed?

Thinkvantage system Update for win 7 listed "Thinkpad Device experience for Win 7" for my system. Do you think it is necessary to install it on my system?

that's a setup to give you all the thinkvantage tools. you don't need it. you're better off picking the ones you want and downloading each one. it also gives you links to the support sites within lenovo. you can get the same thing by picking support and downloads at the top of this page, rather than downloading a 73 mb file.
