Turn Off Sleep with Lid Closed

[ Edited ]

I am using my X60 with an external monitor (no docking station) and I would like to turn off the feature that puts the X60 to sleep when I close the lid.  Is there any way to turn off this feature?

don't know what os you're on but in windows 7:  control panel, power options, on the left click choose what closing the lid does, then choose when i close the lid, you want to choose do nothing.  there's a setting for, on battery and one for, on power.

topmahof - Thanks for the response!

I'm on XP, but your suggestion pointed me in the right direction.

In XP it's control panel, power options, power manager, global power settings.

It worked fine.
